SHOW & Tell: Pet Day

MEMORY VERSE: Jesus said, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God. And trust in me. There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I would not tell you this if it were not true. End of the Year Program: On June 4 at 6:30 PM we will be having our PK-6th grade spring program. The first & second graders will be singing some scripture verses and reciting two poems. There will be a reception following the program. We’re asking for cookies from each family in PK through 4th. The 5/6 class will be bringing juice.

Homework: Today is the last Homework assignment. If your student is behind in finishing up work there will be those assignments sent home over the weekend.

End of Year Tests: On June 2 & 3 we will be having final tests in spelling and math.

Summer Birthdays: It’s our tradition to celebrate summer birthdays during the last week of school. On Thursday, June 4, we will have a “potluck” picnic lunch to help with our summer birthday party. Each student should bring a favorite picnic food for lunch for that day. Your student will not need to order lunch that day. Our summer birthday people are: Natalie, Courtland, and Haily.

Singing Details: We will be singing this Sabbath, May 9 at the Kennewick High Art Fuller Auditorium, 500 S. Dayton Street about 9:45 AM. I would like the children at there by 9:35 so I can get them lined up and ready to perform. I understand there are three drinking fountains inside the front doors on the 6th street side of the building. I’ll plan to meet the students there. Dresses or skirts for girls, long pants and shirts for boys will be appropriate for the performance. The students can find you in the audience when we’re finished.

Field Trip: Next Tuesday, May 12, we plan to go to the Health & Safety Fair sponsored by Hanford at the TRAC. We will be using the city bus and leaving at the Court Street bus stop at 8:49. We should arrive at the TRAC on Burden shortly after 9:00. We will leave the TRAC at 11:45 and arrive back at TCJA about 12:15. We are a little late for lunch but hopefully the students will manage. Let me know if you’d like to go with us! We could use some more adult helpers. (The 3rd & 4th Graders will be going with us also.)

Reading Calendar: I’m enclosing a May reading calendar. Please continue encouraging your student to read at home.
