Student led Week of Prayer: Next week, April 19 thru 23 will be out student led Week of Prayer. The 1st & 2nd grade class will be in charge on Tuesday, April 20. If you have time you might want to stay and listen. The children will be singing their two scripture chapters—Psalm 91 and I Corinthians 13 as well as giving the Jonah poem, reading the Jonah story from the Bible, leading general singing, and having opening and closing prayer.

Happy Birthday: Artie will turn 8 on April 18! Have a very special birthday.

Sand Artist: The students were really interested in watching a YouTube clip of a Ukrainian young lady doing sand art. Some of them wanted me to share the address with you. Here it is: http://www.theworld.org/2009/09/25/kseniya-simonova/ It’s worth your time to watch!

P.E. Shoes: If your child wears sandals or flip flops to school, please remember to send tennis shoes for PE/recess time. I’d prefer they kept the flip flops for hot summer days rather than school wear.
