Hanford Health & Safety Expo: Thank you to the parents who went with us on the field trip to the Health & Safety Expo. The students had a great time and enjoyed all the treats they collected.

PK-6 Spring Concert, May 20. The Spring Concert begins at 6:30 PM on Thursday, May 20. Our class will be singing. Your student can sit with you when the first and second grade part is completed.

Pet Day, May 28: The children’s favorite Show & Tell! Pets that can be caged may be brought for the morning. Other pets should be brought at 11:45 to show on the playground.

Summer Birthday Potluck June 3: Another of our traditions is to have a potluck lunch at the end of the year to celebrate the summer birthdays as well as the end of the school year. It’s always a fun potluck. If you can take off a few minutes at lunch time, come and join us! Also pray that it will be good weather for an outside picnic!

Send bags for bringing home the desk/locker baggage on Thursday. I like sending it a day early so we can find the forgotten things before Friday.

Last Day of School: Friday, June 4.

Summer Reading/Math: I would like to encourage each student to have a summer reading and math time each day to keep skills fresh. Second graders can start working on the multiplication tables to get a head start on third grade math. Also review regrouping concepts every now and then so as not to forget that important skill.
