Class Enrollment: There are 11 2nd graders, 6 1st graders and 5 K-1 students in our classroom. The K-1 students join us on Monday –Thursday at 11:30.

Happy Birthday: 1st grade Taylee turns 6 on August 27! Have a wonderful day.

Routines: We’ve had a busy week of learning classroom routines. The students are settling in nicely. Each day we do a bit more than the day before. Just remember, the beginning weeks of school are a review of the year before. The most important things for a student to learn at the start of a new school year are the routines that make a classroom run smoothly.

Reading: I’m encouraging each student to check out a new book every day to take home and read in the evening. Please remind your student to return his/her book the next morning so another book can be checked out. When a student has read 50 books, he/she will receive a $ gift certificate to Barnes & Noble.
