Happy Birthday: We have two more November birthdays: Tateum will be 8 on November 20 and Isaiah will be 7 on the 28th! Happy Birthday boys.
Happy Thanksgiving: Students enjoy your week away from school. Keep reading though! Have a great holiday. See you on Monday, November 27.
Christmas Offering: Again this year we will be raising money for the hungry through the ADRA program. I just received the flyer in the mail telling of the match program where every $1.00 contributed will be extended to $7.00 for the feeding programs they operate. It’s a fun way for the kids to watch their contributions grow rapidly. We will have a cookie sale on the first Friday of December.

December 2 Cookie Sale to raise money for an ADRA mission project

1st & 2nd Grade News
November 3, 2011
SHOW & TELL: Something that begins with N (I’ve made a change to the Show & Tell list because of where we are with our reading books. We haven’t read the Safari book yet so bringing something to take on a safari would not make sense to the students. Also remember we brought Indian artifacts last month. The idea was that I was switching the Nov. 3 date with the October 7 activity.)
MEMORY VERSE: I will pour out water for the thirsty land. I will make streams flow on dry land. Isaiah 44:3, first part
2nd Grade Spelling: The 2nd graders are also responsible to spell the 1st grade words on the Friday test!
11/4/11: doesn’t, aren’t, she’s, children, you’re, we’re, it’s, I’m, they’re, he’s, because, can’t
11/11/11: chain, think, wheel, thank, thorn, white, black, whale, truck, crash, between, something
11/18/11: moth, punch, bench, teeth, other, flash, beach, stuck, after, brush, lunch, ranch
1st Grade Spelling:
11/4/11: vet, men, leg, net, wet, ten, beg, hen
11/11/11: get, pen, pet, web, bed, set, peg, red
11/18/11: rug, tub, bug, cub, mug, cut, rub, hug
Singing at Richland Seventh-day Adventist Church: The address is 1807 McMurray Avenue, Richland. Students should be arriving about 10:45 so you can find a seat. The children will sit with parents and come up front right after the Kindergarten/Third & Fourth students sing. They will return to sit with parents when our part is finished. There is a church potluck at the conclusion of the service.
Pizza Hut Certificate: The following students received the Pizza Hut Certificate for the month of October: Mateo, Christopher, Ethan, Claudia, Aaliyah, Alex, Kasi, Brent, Isabella, Paige, Andrew, Enoch, Tateum, Jordan, Edynn, Brendan, Mackenzie
