Happy Birthday: Toby & Jordan are turning 7 on February 20. Ezra will be 9 on the 21st. A special Happy Birthday to all 3 boys!
Presidents’ Day: Remember to mark your calendar for No School on Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 21.
Substitute: Tuesday, February 22, Valarie Young will again be taking my place in the classroom. I have to go to the conference office for a Curriculum Committee Meeting. The children will be in good hands. I think it’s nice for you to know ahead of time though so you can remind your student to be as helpful as possible.
Books: Alex & Mackenzie have finished 100 books this week! Congratulations to both of you. My guess is they will still have time to finish another 50 before the year is over.
Guest: Today, Mackenzie’s sister, Jessica, gave a presentation on Healthy Eating to the students. She is working on getting a scholarship for college. The presentation was part of the requirements for applying for that college money. We all hope she is successful.
